About the Northern California Chapter
The Arthritis Foundation has been leading the fight against arthritis for 60 years. Our mission is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
More than two million Northern Californians cope daily with the challenges presented by the pain and disability of arthritis in both their personal and professional lives. In fact, arthritis costs California $32 billion annually in lost wages and medical expenses.
The Arthritis Foundation is working hard to improve the quality of life for all people affected by arthritis. Our efforts are concentrated in the areas of research, public health and public policy. We are a volunteer-driven non-profit health organization, dependent on your generous sharing of your time, experience, expertise, and funds.
